Borinquen Health Care Center, Inc. (BHCC) is a nonprofit, federally qualified health center serving Miami-Dade since 1972. Founded by local Puerto Rican community members, it has expanded into a comprehensive health system with eleven health center sites across Miami-Dade County. BHCC’s mission is to improve the quality of life of the culturally diverse community it serves by offering inclusive health education and human services, regardless of background or ability to pay. BHCC provides a full continuum of care, including adult medicine, HIV/AIDS care, OB/GYN, pediatrics, family medicine, dental care, specialty services, nutritional counseling, and an in-house pharmacy. Additional programs include case management, HIV/STD testing and counseling, prenatal outreach, chronic disease management, and behavioral health care. The Behavioral Health Center offers psychiatry, substance use treatment, and case management, while the integrative medicine program provides holistic services such as chiropractic services, life coaching, and auriculotherapy.
