I don't want to brag, but I win every argument I have later on in the shower.

*Laughs in anxiety.*

Do you ever get ready for a nice, relaxing, warm shower, and then you step out feeling flustered and angry? Nothing like an imaginary argument with your bestie Rebecca.

Anxiety makes it hard to relax your brain. And it also makes us want to prepare for the worst. So if you're thinking about asking for more time on an assignment when you go to school later, your brain might jump to the worst-case-scenario and think your teacher is going to give you a hard, aggressive "no." You plan your argument in your head and then go to school later to find out she couldn't care less if you need more time, and all your worry was for nothing.

This is a hard habit to shake! Trust me, we know. When your shower thoughts lead to imaginary shower fights, take a deep breath and try to focus on how relaxing the water is. This is your "me" time, be sure to soak in every minute of it!
