Want to learn how to use the Positive Peers app?

Watch these videos for our beginner's guide to the Positive Peers app. To begin, register for the app and then download the app for free on your iOS or Android mobile device. Once the installation is complete, go ahead and launch the app.

 

01: Home Screen and Navigation

Once you are registered with Positive Peers, launch the app and log in. This is the main screen. Use the menu at the bottom to navigate to your Wellness Charts, the Resource Library, Community Support, and Chats. To update settings, tap the navigation in the upper right. Use the quick keys to explore our most popular features.

 

02: Community

Community is our virtual support group. Come join us. Click on a post to read and reply. Subscribe to follow a thread. Click avatars to view profiles. Click the plus sign to add a post. Express yourself with gifs & emojis.

 

03: Chat

Chat allows you to talk one-on-one with a peer in the app. Clicking chat reveals a list of your recent contacts. Click the plus sign to chat with someone new. Select a peer to connect with or click avatars to view profiles.

 

04: Blog

The blog offers articles about sex, dating, life hacks, and LGBTQ topics when living with HIV. Log in often, because new articles are published bi-weekly.

 

05: Chill Out

Chill out with these short videos for relaxation and meditation techniques. Log in often, because new videos are published monthly.

 

06: Help Line

Most importantly, if you are in crisis, and in immediate need of 1-on-1 counseling, click help in resources and connect to a hotline. If you’re experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
